Its very easy to get influenced by Bollywood stars…by what they do, wear and the kind of physique they develop. Almost all the men wanted six packs like SRK in “Om Shanti Om” or a rugged body Aamir Khan in “Ghajini”. Almost all the women wanted a size-zero figure like Kareena at one point of time.
However, most celebrity fitness trainers recommend that its better to focus on your overall fitness, rather than try to mould your body like some celebrity, especially if you don’t belong to the showbiz industry.
Bollywood stars get paid to build a body to suit a particular role, and they’re are provided the bet of the facilities/training (usually 24×7) to achieve that. Besides, once the shooting is over, they quickly come back to their original self or are back to preparing for some other roles.
For commoners, although its easy to get influenced by Bollywood, its not actually practical to follow the stars. So its better to try to build something that can become a part of your lifestyle, rather than do something just for two or three months.
Akshay Kumar says fitness is more about being overall fit rather than just six-pack abs. There is absolutely no excuse for ignoring one’s health, we’ve got one body, one heart, one chance, lets live it like we’re scared of losing it. Fitness is not about showing off six pack abs built from a bottle full of enhancers. Fitness is about becoming the best version of you, no matter what level you may be at, level 1 is better than 0. I urge one and all to respect the body God has gifted you with, and become the healthy person you have always wanted to be. I’m not asking anyone to spend lakhs on gym memberships. All I’m saying is make the most of what’s around you. Let’s be honest, walking is free,” says Akshay kumar.
Celebrity trainers also advise women not to get carried away by fads such as size-zero as it can have long-lasting side effects, unless you have someone dedicated to help you with your training.
Its any day better to focus on being healthy and being fit!
