PM Modi interacts with fitness influencers on ‘Fit India Movement’ first anniversary
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with several fitness influencers on the anniversary of ‘Fit India Movement’. The online ‘Fit India Dialogue’ event was attended by PM Modi, sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, cricketer Virat Kohli, model and avid runner Milind Soman, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar and other fitness influencers.
During the online session, PM Modi asked several fitness-related queries to the fitness influencers.
Modi asked Virat Kohli about the Yo-Yo test and its importance to assess the fitness of the Indian cricket team.
The prime minister also joked that Delhi’s Chhole Bhature business might be suffering as Kohli has been staying away from his favourite street food. In response, Kohli broke into laughter and said that he had a lot of street food during his growing days, but now the demands of the sport has helped him understand the importance of staying fit.
Companies Use the Movement to Promote New Brands
Several companies are taking cues from Indian prime minister Narendra Modi’s call to promote fitness among Indians (Fit India), in order to promote their brands.
British consumer goods major Reckitt Benckiser launched a new variant of its popular pain relieving brand Moov, which was endorsed by former cricketer Gautam Gambhir. The Moov Advance gel was launched with a social media campaign inspired by the government’s Fit India movement.
“In an endeavour to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ensuring a Fit India, Moov launches #MakeYourMoov challenge with former cricketer Gautam Gambhir,” the company said while launching the campaign.
