The breakfast cereals market is currently dominated by the likes of Kellogg’s, PepsiCo and Indian brand Bagrry’s. Thanks to India’s growing breakfast cereals market, brands such as Nestle plan to bring its global breakfast cereals to India.
Bagrrys Cereals
Bagrrys is an Indian brand and over the years it has successfully batted the top international brands such as PepsiCo to carve out a name for itself in the lucrative breakfast cereals market.
Bagrrys offers a range of breakfast cereals, flakes, muesli in a variety of flavors. What I personally like about their products is that it has low sugar content, compared to some of its competitors.
Kellogg’s Cereals
Then there is Kellogg’s, the most popular brand of all. They have a wide range of products in this category.
A world leader, Kellogg’s is now a well-established name in the Indian market as well.
The company makes standard cereal and muesli in a variety of flavors of fruit and nuts.
You can choose from wheat, oats, corn, rice, barley, and a mix of raisins, apple, almonds, papaya, peach, depending on your tastes.
Quaker Oats
Oats is also becoming a popular choice as a breakfast meal, and its considered to be a very healthy option. Although not very commonly available to people, you can still find Quaker Oats in the well-known stores in metros in India. It offers a perfect balance of fiber, complex carbohydrates, and protein.

Nestle’s Fitness, Cheerios, and Nesquik are some of the popular breakfast cereals in the western countries. With lifestyles of Indians changing in tandem with increasing spending power and higher health consciousness, the market for breakfast cereals has grown with a gateway for experimenting with different tastes and varying eating preferences.
