Now, the man with the top job in Maharashtra also wants to know Akshay’s fitness secret.

Akshay Kumar believes in following a disciplined lifestyle to keep himself fit and healthy. So its not like you hit the gym, pump up weights, and then head for a party later to have drinks.
That’s not how Akshay works. And its not that Akshay has started following this lifestyle after he turned forty or so. He always lived a disciplined life, and he even admits that its one of the reasons he managed to survive in the industry.
- Believes in Early to Bed, Early to Rise. Akki’s day starts at 5.00 am and goes off to sleep by 9 pm.
- Prefers Martial Arts and body weight exercises over Gymming
- Akshay prefers climbing staircase, especially during shooting.

Akshay Kumar’s Eating / Diet Habits
Akki believes in the following when it comes to diet.
- Akshay eats only simple, healthy, home cooked foods.
- He stays away from alcohol, tea and coffee, and doesn’t smoke either.
- Breakfast: Parathas (he’s a North-Indian after all) and a glass of milk
- Noon: A bowl full of fruits
- Lunch: Roti, dal, green vegetables, chicken and a bowl of curd
- Evening: a glass of fresh juice without sugar
- Dinner is light – usually soups or salads and veggies.
- Has dinner by 7-7.30 pm (advises to have the last meal at least a couple of hours before bedtime)

Akshay Kumar is the son of an army officer and always followed a fitness regime even before he came into Bollywood.
Akshay is an expert in martial arts: He is a black belt in Taekwondo. He got trained in martial arts and Muay Thai in Thailand (while working as a chef).
