Olympic gold medalist and businessman Abhinav Bindra to venture into sports science

Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra (ace shooter) and businessman has announced his retirement from shooting and plans to get into the business of sports science.

Being a sportsman and belonging to a business family, Abhinav Bindra now wants to focus on his new business venture.

“I am interested in sport but it does not give you much money. I am involved in certain things, which is to do with fitness, doing something on the medical side, and I am also trying to do something on high performance side of sports,” said during his farewell function.

The area of sports science and sport medicine is huge and extremely important in modern day sport. Developed countries are reaping the benfits of investing in sports science.

However, the concept is not wide-spread in India, and that’s why Abhinav wants to focus on fitness, medical and high performance side of sports.
