So here’s how to make fresh fruit popsicles. You can make them using any fruit – whatever is the flavour of the season.
HOW to MAKE THE COLD POPS (Steps)
- Mash the fruit in a bowl, place it into the popsicle moulds.
- You may add some juice or lime water for extra taste.
- Keep it in the refrigerator (fridge).
- When the mashed fruits is semi-set, insert a stick in each and put it back in the refrigerator (re-freeze).
- When its set, run the moulds under cold water to ease out the pops (this is optional).
Try Various fruits to MAKE THE POPS
You can try these out with other fruits as well.
- Use fresh orange or mosambi, available throughout the year
- Mix pomegranate (has low glycemic-index, recommended for obese and diabetic patients) with lemon and a little cinnamon.
- Try hibiscus with pomegranate by mixing hibiscus tea with pomegranate juice
- Try out peach pulp with honey or make the popiscles yoghurt-style by adding fresh yoghurt to the mix.
- In summer, experiment with coconut water popsicles, coconut is high in potassium and extremely hydrating.
