Views of Her Fitness Trainers
An excruciatingly strong will power makes it easy for Deepika Padukone to stick to exercise routines and diets without wavering.
Tall and agile, her athletic built owes a lot to her formative years of playing badminton and training rigorously. Once she entered films, she trained under Yasmin Karachiwala who introduced her to Pilates and strength training.
She also practices yoga and indulges in a cardio routine. She owes her fitness level to her expertise in various dance forms, including kathak and jazz.
As per her trainer, her problem area are her legs and she loves to work them out. She loves Pilates and it has worked wonders on her body; she uses a combination of strength and yoga to tighten the core muscles of the body and relax the mind.

Depending on her mood, and the situation, she does gymming, or plays badminton court, practices yoga, or even shakes a leg at a dance studio.
She admits that at times she gets bored with the conventional gym routines, that’s when she mixes it up with cardio, Pilates and yoga. However, she’s always trying to push the limits of her endurance levels.
Deepika’s typical workout at the gym consists of functional training using a mix of freehand and light weights, Pilates machine and props such as resistance bands, depending on the body part that is worked upon. Because she exercises almost everyday, to prevent soreness in the body, weight training is kept to a minimum.
