Italian company Tecnobody sets up cutting-edge fitness training systems at Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra’s Chandigarh office. The centre will be used to train top class Indian athletes.
Abhinav Bindra’s a state-of-the-art high-performance centre now has sophisticated fitness and training systems that will be available to elite Indian athletes for free.
Abhinav Bindra spent close to a million dollars on the centre, including the systems.
Here’s how the system works:
The equipment requires you to do certain activities for various body parts. In under a minute, one of the “smart” pieces of equipment will read the athletes body. A large TV screen attached in front of the treadmill and a 3D camera displays a bunch of numbers that tells about the athletes body balance and equilibrium. The machine tells you exactly which part of your body needs improvement.
Just one session provides enough data on the problem areas, for which a physiotherapist can prescribe corrective measures. After 10 days of modified training, an athlete should do a comparative assessment on the machine to observe his/her progress.
