For some this may comes as a shock, while some may say that they always kew about this collusion; an Amercian study now reveals that Coke and Pepsi funded several Public Health Groups (during the period 2011 to 2015) to stop them from pushing for laws regulating soda.
During the same period, the two beverage giants lobbied against at least 28 soda taxes and other measures intended to curb consumption of sugary drinks and stem the rising tide of obesity, according to a recent study in American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
This study clearly shows that what these cola giants really care about is improving profit, and not public health.
