Ayush: Ministry created to revive traditional natural medicines

AYUSH Ministry

Ayush is a separate ministry created by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to revive the traditional healing forms of India.

Earlier it was a department under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), but now its a separate ministry (headed by Shripad Naik).

With the growing popularity of Yoga and Ayurveda, India is keen to tap its traditional medicines and to make India a leader in “Alternative medicine”.

H – Homeopathy
