Aamir Khan is one actor who can really get into the skin of the character. And if it requires him to look like Hulk, he’s ever ready to put in the efforts.
Everybody knows that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is a perfectionist. So,it comes as no surprise to anyone when Aamir Khan under went a physical transformation for his new role as a wrestler in his upcoming movie ‘Dangal’. After all, few years back, he had built the perfect six-pack abs for one of his films.
Aamir Khan’s new fitness training program focused on him gaining weight to suit the role. He has already gained 20 kgs and is doing more of heavy weight training to bulk up further.
What is going to be challenging for the actor though is that he will have to lose weight for the same movie after his current shooting schedule.
Apparently, for the movie, Aamir plays the role of an older wrestler for which he is gaining weight, and after he completes shooting parts of his older look, he will take a 4 month break to loose all the gained weight to play a younger version of the character.
But is this not risky? Yes, it is!
Health experts have warning him stating that gaining and losing weight so drastically is risky. But knowing how professional Aamir is, he is definitely going to try his best to swing between fat to fab effortlessly.
Fans are of course eager to see his new avatar.

Long back, he had played the role of an amateur (street) boxer in the movie Ghulam (he was not a star then) but he didn’t have to bulk up or build big muscles for the role (at least it was not visible on the screen).
It was for the movie Ghajini that he trained really hard and almost everybody was raving about Aamir’s muscles in that film. He also trained hard for his role in Dhoom3 to get a well-toned body.

Aamir relies on his personal trainer Satya and dietician Dr Vinod Dhurandhar to meet his fitness objectives. Aamir says that its important to have friends who will help you focus on the course you have set for yourself.
Depending on the role, Aamir can train very hard and for longer hours. For roles like Lagaan, Mangal Pandey, Ghajini, he exercises three hours a day (around 45 minutes of cardio and the rest for weights), six days a week, every morning without fail. If his schedule is too packed, he brings it down to around 90 minutes to two hours. But he makes sure he doesn’t skip his training sessions (he’s fine with making it shorter).

Aamir Khan Diet Plan
Here he follows what his trainer and dietitian recommend, and that is to cut down on carbohydrates, increase protein intake, have moderate levels of fats, and take several small meals.
- Early morning Tea, brown bread slice (around 7.30am)
- Breakfast consists of green tea, muesli, fruits, egg whites omlette, brown bread slice (around 11am)
- On certain days, he even has a Protein shake before breakfast, if he trains
- Midday snack includes fruits, mostly Papaya
- Lunch is Dal, roti (usually wheat, jwar and bajara), veggies (cooked in olive oil), chicken salad, 2 chapatis, curd
- Rusk and tea for evening snack or fruits. At times, he has omelette made from 4 egg whites, with brown bread slice
- Chicken or boiled vegetables for dinner.
- Before exercising, he usually eats a banana or apple to maintain energy levels
Occasionally, Aamir does eat his favorite Mumbai street — vada pao and pao bhaji. But then he also has plenty of water to wash all that down. Avoids sugar as far as possible.

Here’s what the perfectionist has to offer to youngsters:
- Give your body adequate rest, else your body will not respond to training
- Eat a healthy & balanced diet, eat more frequently
- Be regular with your training, transforming your body is a slow process so you need to persevere
Aamir is one actor who doesn’t really care about his looks in public appearances (although he’s always appropriately dressed), its his work that speaks for itself. But then Bollywood actors need to keep fit to stay in business, and depending on the role, Aamir can really take his fitness to the next level. Aamir Khan’s next release is the much awaited Raju Hirani movie ‘Peekay’.
